Default Anyone using sensors in managing their facilities?

Growing up in FM, I'm well familiar with with Building Automation System data endpoints (BAS or BMS).

But this year I've encountered so much more monitoring for other stuff.
Like wifi, co2, or temperature sensing to see how many spaces are being utilized, door or other motion sensing to drive whether restrooms are clean or trashcans are emptied... and folks wanting to see heatmaps of all this stuff on their floorplans or models.

Question for folks... are you starting to use sensors outside of the traditional MEP monitoring points?
How are you using it? Is it helping your ROI discussions or helping you save money on real estate or maintenance?

In the Lounge at AUGICon today, there was a Gentleman who shared that many of his clients are laboratories, and utilize a range of sensors for temperature, humidity, co2 and other environmental factors.
    It sounded really interesting.
