Default Floating Viewport with a hole cut out...

Full credit goes to Michael Puckett at TheSwamp for this very tip / trick....

    In paperspace ...

Start with the outside viewport boundary, make it a closed pline. Turn it into a region.

Make the interior boundary that is the island you don't want to be visible from another close pline. Turn into a region.

Subtract region #2 from region #1.

Turn resultant region into viewport via mview [enter] object ...

    Walla...

Unhappy Re: Floating Viewport with a hole cut out...

How do you turn closed Polylines into viewports in AutoCAD 2007 LT?

After mview command and selecting them I am getting a message that it is not a vport.

    Please help.

Question Re: Floating Viewport with a hole cut out...

I do not have "o" option in AutoCAD 2007 LT. Any other suggestions?
