    Default Custom Line Definition/Type

    Hi everyone!

I need your help, I'm working on a project and doing a lots of planting design like shrubs groundcovers outlining.

I created a line using a Make Shape & Make linetype command in Express Tool. It works well in all types of polygons but once I started using it in a shape like arc the direction of my linetype went to differents directions.

Hoping that that someone here may help me create a custom line definition/Type for this type of situation.

I attached the image hoping that youn can help me on this.

Thank you very much in advance!

Have you tried using the Reverse command on those lines?

    Thanks Tom!

But there is no reverse option in it and as you can see in the drawing I attached the direction of it changes in different directions.

Gussing the rotation in your linetype is set using U= specifies upright or easy-to-read text. For such a simple linetype creating a shape file seems overkill. Add this to your *.lin file:
    Code:
     *thrixzer24,Planting Design__/_/____/_/____/_/__
    A,125,-50,[TRACK1,ltypeshp,r=135,s=70.71,y=50],-50,[TRACK1,ltypeshp,s=50,y=50],125
    Should do the trick.

    Code:
    *thrixzer45,Planting Design__/|____/|____/|__
    A,125,-50,[TRACK1,ltypeshp,r=45,s=70.71,y=-50],-50,[TRACK1,ltypeshp,s=50,y=-50],125
    *thrixzer135,Planting Design__/|____/|____/|__
    A,125,-50,[TRACK1,ltypeshp,r=135,s=70.71,y=50],-50,[TRACK1,ltypeshp,s=50,y=50],125
One up and one down in case reversing it doesn't leave the angles in the direction you need.

Shapes do not bend with the line type, they are simply inserted at the point as defined.

It is possible to get a smoother shape based linetype, but you have to make more shapes.

    Example:
