Roof Pitch Symbol

Has anyone developed a roof pitch symbol that allows you to enter in the rise and the triangle updates automatically? For instance, change from a 6:12 pitch to a 4:12 pitch just by selecting the 6 and entering a 4.

I'm about to try to do this myself but I'm not sure what family template I should use. Should I make this an annotation that scales with the view or just a generic symbol (say 2' across, since these are used mostly for 1/4" elevation views). However, it would be nice to have these scale so I can place the symbol in a detail view as well.

Just looking for some helpful tips on where to get started - or a good solution if someone's willing to share.

I'd use a Generic Annotation template.

I've attached a couple of families that do just that. It was available on RUGI. It really works quite nice.

I have just modified the Symbol to show "Degrees" instead of the Rise/Run style.

Only one is required because you can mirror the symbol.
