    Default command in progress

From time to time I'm unable to save my drawing. When I try to save I'm told I have a command in progress and it's unable to be saved. I've looked the autodesk discussion groups and they have no answer. I can save if I close the drawing, but then I have to re-open it.
Has anyone else run across this, or know of a fix?
    Thanks

I have had the same problem a few times, it has just happened again. I have tryed all these things, still can not save or plot. I closed all other drawings. I have a slight feelinng it does have something to do with shade mode. But I can not figure it out.

I'm not sure what it is, after you try and save and it gives you the command in progress response, go check the file you wanted to save. Check the date/time of it's last save.
While researching this I thought I read somewhere that it was saving the file anyway.
I haven't had it not be able to save, after hitting the "R" for retry.
Once I close out and start over, The problem seems to go away.
I'm almost thinking it's more of a network type problem with PN, doing something in the background, like someone else refreshing the project or something like that.
Not really sure though, If you figure it out, or find the cause/fix please post it.

I have this happen mostly after I have been using 3D Orbit.
It has actually been around for awile, at least since 2004.
You can type save at the command line and it will save just fine. Then get out of the drawing and once you are back in, all is fine.
