In place void extrusion used to 'cut' the corrugated shape from the wall is perhaps the easiest way.
Two options.
First option: Add a surface pattern of vertical lines to the wall material and then use a corrugated texture map if you do any renderings.
Second option: Build the corrugated portion of the wall as an in-place family extrusion and align and lock it to your existing wall. If you have a lot of corrugated walls this might really slow down your model.
Edit: if you don't just add a surface pattern, then Scott's method above is probably best

Use straight lines (a segemented curve) not curves to represent this and it will help some.
How much SF are we talking? You could also make yourself a *.bmp with a series of gradients that simulate an undulating surface.

The surface area I am dealing with would be considerable... there are 4 wall panels each of about 162 m2 (1,740 sf) and some additional wall surfaces I haven't finalized yet (perhaps another 11,000 sq.ft.)..
I've attached some images, they are the tall white panels next to the orange panel.
Arti. I often use a Curtain wall and replace the panels with a custom thing I did. Sometimes you have to play around with the family to make it work
This is one of those things I would recommend not modeling, just use a surface pattern. Your elevations may look very bad if you model them as the curved surfaces straight on will have poor linework, since there isn't a defined edge it will look good in shaded mode but hiden line won't look good. I end up having to place detail lines or use the linework tool on most curved surfaces in elevation.

Zeds,
I seem to remember you had a very cool railing profile that you suggested be used in this type of situation.
Shot Mike. Yes we've used the railing thing too. Just add the corrugate profile as your baluster.

That's a good idea... I'll give it a try.
I'm curios as well with the railing profile.... how do you apply that solution to a wall?
