Greetings,
We receive DWG files created by a locally developed (South Africa) GIS software application (MunSys). The DWG files contains only acad-proxy-entities. We have to explode them before we can do anything with the objects - i.e. change colour, layer etc.
Strangely enough, the ODConvert program from the Open Design Alliance does a pretty good job of converting these files, when we use it to revert them to R12 format. Except that it discards some objects.
When I make a DXF from the DWG file we receive I can see huge values under code 310 of each Proxy (example attached). Can anybody help me decipher these codes so I can try to find a fast and effective method to convert the proxies to "normal" drawing objects?
At the moment it takes about 2 hours to explode 100000 proxies.
Thanks,
Kevin.
