Default Screen menu to die - what do you think?

In 2006, Autodesk has deprecated the screen menu (i.e. stated that support will be dropped in a future release). What do you think about that? Do you care?

Edit: this is in Wish List because if people do object, it's important that they say so somewhere that Autodesk takes some notice of.

I could care less, haven't used it since Release 9 ...... and even then I used the Tablet more than the screen menu.

Around R13 the value of the screen menu was reduced when it became little more than a duplicate of the pull-downs. I haven't used it since then.

The screen menu can go the way of the dinosaurs.
It was a great learning tool for a first time Cad operator, but once the commands
    are learned.....sianara!

I have NEVER used the screen menu. I started working with AutoCAD 11 (I think), but we had something called Lightening (gosh, I can't remember), but it gave you a bunch of toolbars. I always used those (see that's why I'm a toolbar person ) But, I do have users who use it all the time, and I can see people getting upset if it is gone and they can't use it anymore. Just like if they took away all the toolbars, the command people wouldn't have a problem with it, but the toolbar people would. It would be a tremendous learning curve if I had to learn to use ONLY commands and pulldowns yuk).

Personally, I don't care what they do with it, but I can see how some people would!

No offense, nothing personal, but if you could care less, wouldn't you go ahead and do it?

Do what? I was saying I could care less if Autodesk dropped the screen menu, so, in that case ... Yes, if I were Autodesk, I would just do it!

    LOL

Your figure of speech doesn't make sense.

If you could care less, then why don't you?

I think what you meant is that "you couldn't care less"

Like I said, nothing personal, just pointing out a commonly misused phrase
