Complex linetypes not displaying correctly

Some complex linetypes are not showing up properly. For instance my electric linetype should look like this ----e-----e-----e------, but it actually shows up like this ____e____e____e_____ . If anybody out there has had this problem and found a solution for it I would appreciate the information. Thanks

Check the text style that line type is using. You may need to change a couple of settings.

We created a shape file of our text and put that into the linetype. This allows the text to stay the same no matter which style is current.
