I installed 2006 as part of Mechanical Desktop, and I don't remember getting a prompt to install express tools. How do I install them now? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if that is the same as vanilla... but, even with MAP I got a checkbox asking if I wanted to install express tools and... erm... I dunno 3d dwf support or something... but, by default it was checked and was part of the initial install...Originally Posted by marine_designer
I'd pull up the cd in explorer and look for an exe with express in the title, I think that still works with this one... anyone more knowledgable about?

ETools should be installed by default but they don't always show of their own accord. Typing Expressmenu should fix it.Originally Posted by marine_designer

I tried your suggestions. Expresstools is definitely not loaded, I've typed in expresstools, expressmenu, express, flatten (the tool I really need), and I can't find an .exe file on the installation disk that loads it. Any more ideas? Thanks
Victor
with my first install of map (long story there) I had to do menuload > acetmain.cui and then I could see the express menuOriginally Posted by marine_designer

Melanie, that's getting me closer, I have the express toolbars now, but the icons are all question marks!

Under tools/option/files make sure express tools is loaded in support file search path
Way to go Autodesk............give us the express tools but do not have them autoload.
So is getting half the way there the same as all the way there?
I had this happen to me once. Browse down into your CD and look for a menu with Express in it (I can't remember the exact name). Run the setup in there, and it should install.
