    Default Worksets and Editing Requests

I have a big team (5 people) working on Revit. Has anyone had any problems with with using editing requests? Every once in a while, someone on the team gets an 'unable to reconcile worksets' error. We have had to make new local files and lose any work done on that person's local file. Anyone else?

At this point we have discovered that everyone else must save to central. Once everyone else has finished then the team member with the problem should be able to save.
My advice is, save regularly to both local and especially Central.

You might also try having the person with the error save locally, close Revit, reopen the local file and try STC again. This has worked in our office on several occassions. Still the best remedy is to:

    - Remember to Reload Latest Worksets when opening the local file

    - Save to Central more frequently

    - Never work in the Central File

Here are some reasons for getting this message (and consequently things to avoid):
    - Someone made changes in the central file using the same user name as this local file.
    - Someone with the user name of the local file relinquished a workset or element, or granted an editing request, while working on the central file.
    - Changes were made in more than one local file with the same user name.
    - Changes were made "at risk", i.e., while not connected to the network.
    - The local file was closed without saving it after it had been saved to central.

    We've noticed this too. Weird.
