Does anyone have an adjustable size garden window style I can borrow? I'll give it back I promise.
Thanks,
Phil

Dumb question but what is a garden window? (We probably call it something different where I'm from)

I can't see how that is a dumb question. A dumb question is the one that is not asked! The garden window that you are referring. Would it be used like a small green house for planting flowers or herbs?Originally Posted by arcadia_x27

I'd describe it as a window that sicks out of the wall about 18"-24" like a bay or bow window only its a small box with a slopping top. It consists of a single pane on the front one on each side (at 90 degrees) and a slopping roof type top element. I've seen them built in 2 ways, either with venting side panels or a glider type front. If I remember correctly (it's been a long time) they are about 30"-36" wide and about 40" tall.
Dave described it perfectly.
Still haven't found one.

Try manufactures sites. ie marvin, anderson, crestline.
If you don't find a cad file of what you are looking for, e-mail them and request one. About the only other option I can think of is to make it, but that's going to be a challenge. You could try and start with a bow window, but I don't konw if you can get all the correct planes. Depending on what you want to do with it, consider just making a mass element, or a multiview block. you could then just add and opening to your wall, and anchor the window to the opening.
Just a thought.

Not quite.
The sidelights are 90 degrees to the front picture window.
Usually there are no grills.
It's looks something like this, only is a window, not a mass element.
Does it look like this picture
My mass element has that shape.
Maybe try a window assembly?
I don't do much with windows, but it's another thought.
