Question Text fades in mtext box using a LCD monitor

    Hello
i am using AutoCAD 2004 with a LCD monitor, OS: Windows XP, the problem I (we) are having, I am in school, is that when we use mtext command the text fades while we type in the text box the back ground is white or black(we tried with both colors) and the color of text is cyan. this does not happen with a CRT monitor I checked at home. does anyone have any idea what we can change or do to the settings (AutoCAD or in Windows)?

    Thank you

Not quite sure what you mean (!) but think this will fix your problem...:
    1. Open your PC's display properties (NOT AutoCAD - right click on your desktop)
    2. Under 'appearance", "effects' unclick anything that mentions 'smooth edges of screen fonts"
Note that this happens with both lcd crt monitors etc, but maybe your display properties are set up differently on your crt

    Hope this helps

    Hi

Plus check out the following thread in the AutoCAD FAQ Forum -

The text in the Mtext editor is faint and very hard to read.

    Have a good one, Mike
