Does anyone know how to plot Microstation files correctly in acad. The files were exported out from microstation and now we want to get the pen settings from microstation into Acad 2005. Any sugestions???

Hopefully, whomever exported these files from Microstation reduced all of the lineweights to 0 before exporting them. Otherwise, the lines will actually have a width to them in AutoCAD and you'll have to change each one.
But, if they were exported with no lineweight, you should be able to find the lineweight settings in Microstation. This is controlled by something called "Levels", I think. If you can find what Level produced what lineweight and color, you should be able to transpose that information into an AutoCAD plot configuration.
I'm not a Microstation user, but we do the same thing here in our office (plotting Microstation files converted to AutoCAD). The people that converted our files from Microstation did not reduce the lineweights, and we cannot adjust the plot output without a lot of tedious AutoCAD work.
I tried to explain this to the Microstation users, but they didn't want to hear about it. They feel that Microstation is a much better product that AutoCAD, so they're pretty snobbish about it.
They are so wrong.....
