Changing default font

Could someone please tell me how to change the default text font in revit?

Select the text note, then click on propeties. Then you can edit or create a new text style. You can choose from any Truetype font available (no .shx fonts in Revit).

To completely set a font as the standard for an office you should create a template where all text, dimension styles etc. are defined and all annotation objects that are "outside" the template should be set and re-imported. If you don't then you run the risk of a rogue annotation object infiltrating your standards.

Arial is what you get "out of the box", take the "low" road and you're already done . Take the "high" road and it will take some planning and effort to get everything changed to something else but once done...you're good to go till the next partner wants a different font.

Maintain your templates and annotation families (and be consistent particularly when creating new ones) faithfully and you're good to go.
