Just on a chance, when ADT was installed on your machine, did you use a ghost? If so, it may be that the ghost was set up to be used on a network license, hence if you're not connected to your network it won't find it.
If that's not the case, can you find the tools/folders/files that should be located on your C: drive? If you can find it, you most likely need to re-direct the search path. This is done under the options tab, I think.
This has happened to all our machines here. I think it is an internet explorer security related problem.
We have to unplug our network cable and launch the content browser from the start menu (not from within ADT), close content browser & put back the network cable. It should then always launch from ADT without problem.
If this doesnt work you might have to look at your internrt security settings, enable active-x content etc.
