An Experiment in Collective Reviting
Original Forum Post: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=121358
Intent: To determine if there is a collective improvement mechanism at work on AUGI that will continually modify and improve a family beyond that which an individual would be able to achieve.
Attached Family:
Version: Revit Architecture 2010
Description:
A simple door family that has been modified as follows:
Frame Configuration – “Timely” knock down
Plan Representation –
ADA clearance boundaries (visibility on/off control)
Clearance Boundary Configuration Drivers
4 parameters under the Other heading titled
(Push Option, Pull Option, Latch Option, Closer Option)
By selecting the appropriate numerical values for these parameters
you can drive the Clearance boundary dimensions.
The Pull and Push numerical options can be identified via the formula
numbers and their Corresponding (grayed out) Parameter. The Latch
and Closer options are 1 for yes and 0 for no.
Guidelines:
If you improve the attached family please build upon the existing concept and describe your improvement when reposting. If your approach is able to achieve the same ends via a radically different approach that improves usability then deconstructing / reconstructing the family is permitted. Merging multiple improvement posts is also encouraged.
Rumors:
You can drive these parameters from the plan interface with drop down menus.
