If you are saying that you cannot edit the cell text if the text style is based on .shx fonts, I'm not seeing that issue here in vanilla 2006.

Hi "kschultz" (Sorry, I don't know your real name)

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

    Hi

Are you referring to Table Text Objects that are associated with TrueType fonts (.TTF)?

Attached is example. The drawing is autoCAD 2005 format. Try moving, text edit, copy, anything. The only way I found to work around this problem is to remove the table or windows cut the table and make my changes. Then paste the table back into the drawing. Let me know if you know something different.

I had no trouble editing any part of the drawing. I was able to move the objects in your "trouble" circle and edit its text. I was able to edit the table's cell too.

    NOOOOO..... THAT CAN'T BE.....
This problem is really funny. I have shown 5 people this problem and you are the first to say "what's seems to be the problem"?. Not now I can't do nothing to the text in the circle. I've closed the drawing and reopen and still can't do anything to the text.

If I run into this problem again, I'll sent you another problem drawing to play with.

I'd suggest at least running the registry repair option for the AutoCAD installation.

    Hi

    AutoCAD 2005 SP1 / Windows XP Pro SP2

I am able to Move, Edit, Copy all Objects within the sample drawing file (DETAILS2.dwg) without any problem, apart from the 2 Text objects on Layer 102 "inside the circle".

I can easily cure the problem of the 2 Text objects by Erase ALL followed by Oops to restore all objects. The 2 Text objects can now be Copied / Edited / Moved / Selected / etc. without any problem.

    Have a good one, Mike
