    Default columns + roof?

hie everyone, l don´t know if there is a way to cut structural columns with an inclined plane like a roof for example? The only option that comes is limiting the height using levels I don´t know if there is another way of doing it?

You can use top offset in the column properties at the desired level but this will only give you horizontal cut plane. If you really wanted an incline cut plane what i can think of is to edit the column family make a copy then cut the column with an incline void.

I attached here a sample column family with parametric incline cut you can change the angle of cutting plane to match your roof angle. If you want your column to fit to the underside of your roof just supply the top offset value as this distance is dependent on the thickness of the wall the roof is resting to.

I hope you get the idea here and you can simply make your own family to suit your requirement.
