Publish in AutoCAD 2006 seems slow compared to AutoCAD 2004

Just in the process of upgrading my users to 2006 from 2004.

The PUBLISH command in 2004 worked very well. In 2006 I'm finding it is unbearably slow. It takes forever to add a sheet, let alone multiple sheets. It takes so long that the program appears non-responsive.

This is a deal breaker unless I can solve this problem. Has anyone else seen poor performance using the Publish command in 2006?

I use 06 for my publish needs all the time. I do not have slow issues with it. It is the same speed as 04. What are your computer specs.?
