Arrow Contiuous connect/disconnect from a wireless network?

I'm at wits end as to why this is happening.

We have 2 Mac's (1 powerbook, the other a new imac) & an air port base station extreme. The 2 macs have no problems connecting to the network here. I can connect with other wireless networks too. However, within the last few days my connection has started acting up.

My card will connect for a couple seconds & then promptly disconnect & continue to repeat this all evening. I've never had this problem until a week ago & I'm simply pulling my hair as to why this is happening. I've checked every setting I can think on both ends & I'm at a loss. I've even tried changing the channels for the station & that isn't helping. Even if I put my laptop next to the base station it still demonstrates this rash behavior.

    Please. help. having. withdrawl. symptoms.

I will also add that I thought the problem had calmed down & stopped, but now it seems to have started back up again - all within the time span of about 20 mins.

Any chance that a network card or router has dun-blowed-up? It might explain an intermitent failure on an otherwise stable system.
