Slow down of worksets in 8

has anybody noticed a slowdown of performance in worksets from revit 7 to revit 8?

Quite the opposite. We noticed an increase in speed, particularly with getting permission to edit objects. Where are you noticing the speed decrease?

Under "File Save Options "if you have the box checked for "Compact File ", things could slow down a bit.

I havent checked the compression yet but the troubles experienced are as follows

There are only two models in 8 that have worksets - occurs in both.
The first came from R7, the second was created in 8.

Timing
25 secs to open the workset dialogue box - used to open pretty well
immediately
2 mins 30 secs to save to central (10M) - used to be say 30 sec on large
files

I'll get back to you on the compression
