    Default Mapped Drives

I pulled the following quote out of ADT 2006's help.

    "Mapped drives:
The Drawing Management feature does not support working with mapped drives. You cannot place the project APJ file or project drawings on a mapped drive."

What's up with that? All of us here in the office use a common set of Mapped Drives in order to quickly get to significant places on the network, most notably: our Projects Folder.

I've just started trying to use the Drawing management feature / Project Structure and I'm wondering if I'm going to run into problems with the whole mapped drive issue.

Can anyone shed some light on that?
    Have a GREAT Day!!

I haven't run into any issues yet with mapped drives & that would seem rather silly as that is the only way you can get a network drive on your local system. Perhaps it's refering to something else?

    Cool Re: Mapped Drives

I have run into huge issues when using mapped drive paths in my profile. I have converted my profile to use the UNC paths, but still navigate to projects and files using my mapped drives - this works great. The problems I encountered were in the Project Navigator. I could not change project related information after a project was created, I couldn't use a project template that was specified with a mapped drive path (had to use the UNC path). I don't know why Autodesk decided to not support mapped drives for only part of ADT 2006, but they did.
