Default Sending PLT files via Govert's GoPlot software to an Oce TDS400

    Hey Everyone -

I currently have the latest verison of Govert's GoPlot software to help sending plt files to the plotters. Unfortunatly it doesn't work while trying to send plt files to our OCE TDS400?? It works great on our other plotters and printers but not the TDS. Any ideas or suggestions? Or does anyone have something better than Govert's software?

    Thanks!

    Hi

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoLISP forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

Question Re: Sending PLT files via Govert's GoPlot software to an Oce TDS400

    Hi

Have you tried going to the authors web site Govert's Tools, downloading the new version "GoPlot Plus" and seeing if that works?

The old version "GoPlot" is still available, but is now called "GoPlot Classic".

    Have a good one, Mike

We use this same setup - using GoPlot to send PLT files to a TDS 400 - all the time. In fact, we find it works better than sending the plot from within AutoCAD using the drivers supplied by Oce.

We're using AutoCAD 2002. We generate the PLT files using the Heidi driver for the HP755CM plotter (C3198B). You have to make a .pc3 file for this device using the "Add Plotter" wizard in AutoCAD, and select the "Plot to file" option.

Note that Windows on your computer has to be aware of the presence of the TDS 400 on your network - make sure there's an Oce TDS400 printer in your "Printers" window under Start > Settings > Printers. If not, go to Network Neighborhood and browse to the TDS 400 controller, and when you get to where the printer icon is displayed, click on that icon, which will download the Windows driver to your machine.

In GoPlot, this printer appears in the drop-down list as \\TDS400\Oce TDS400.

    Hope this helps,
