    Default upgrade to 8.1 crashes

    We were trying to upgrade our file to 8.1, REVIT keeps crashing...tried mulitple times..no luck. I get this " An unrecoverable error has occured. The program will be terminated"
    also, got the attached error one time. Please help

    Thats a file to send to support - assuming it is happening after you have opened with the AUDIT option

    Whew....figured out what the probelm was.

    When contacted Autodesk...this is what they had to say,
    -------------------------------------
    Our development team found the issue to be circular refence files withing your xrefs. This should clean up the issue you were having.

    Caused by circular xrefs. Same behavior in 8.0 - not a regression.
    --------------------------------

    Something to be aware of for this or future upgrades.

    Do you mean circular xrefs within drawings linked to your Revit model? Unless I'm missing something, I don't remember when Revit used xrefs

    Exactly Brad...do not have circular references in the autocad file linked to REVIT
