When I try to publish image files like aerials I get "Out of Memory Shutting Down". I am also having problems with .tif files, they will print out using the standard plot command but not through the publish command. Any thoughts?

Hi
What is system variable BackGroundPlot set to?
If not set to 0 (Zero), try setting it to 0 (Zero).
Have a good one, Mike
I am on 2004 and can not find a system variable for BackGroundPlot. Is this a new Variable?Originally Posted by Mike.Perry

AutoCAD 2005 and above, sorry about that.
Below are the obvious thinks to check concerning AutoCAD and computer memory resources...

I don't think memory is really the problem I am operating XP Pro with SP 2, Dual Monitors, Dual 3.2 GHz CPU's, 2.00 GB of RAM and Virtual Memory is set to 2046 MB inital size with a max of 4092 MB. Would you not think this is sufficient?

With 6000 + post, you either know a lot or at least know where to find it all.Originally Posted by Mike.Perry

Ok I have I believe the 8830 driver problem solved, now I need to know if anyone knows of an issue with aerials and the publish command.
I just found an interesting piece to the puzzle the system variable XLOADCTL is set to 1 or 2, and remains that way through a successful run on publish. However when trying to plot an aerial and publish crashes XLOADCTL is set to 0.
UPDATE # 2
I did a little research in the old Batch plot problems we were having and found a problem with Xreffed aerials, so I detached all aerials from all xrefs, then inserted them into the drawing I am trying to publish from and tried again. No luck the publish command will plot everything but aerials.
