I have a plan with individual rooms assigned to a department (i.e. Public, Admin, etc.). I didn't do an overall Area Plan, just individual rooms.
So now I have a plan with color fills and a legend of departments. How could I have the SF total for each department show up on the legend?

    Thanks

    Here's one method.

If your're doing this with room tags (as opposed to area tags), do a room schedule, and sort the schedule by department, and while in the sort dialog, check the totals box at the end of that (department) category in the sort dialog. Set the department category as a hidden field in schedule view properties/formatting, then in the formatting tab, select "calculate totals" for the department parameter.

    That should do it.

and if necessary untick the 'show all instances" box, so you only get the departmental tallies.
