Is there a way to get the tool palette icons to match the toolbar?
Also, is there a way to update the tool palette icons after I modify the toolbar icon?
Re-starting autocad doesn't help.
Thanks in advance!

Here's the reason;
The images palettes\images folder is the location for all of the images used on the palettes.
You can use Paint to modify the image. Or you can specify a different image. The catch is: AutoCAD always uses the name of the tool as the name of the image. This is how it keeps track.
Also, in order to specify an image to use, Rt-click on a tool on the palette. Select Customize. Then Rt-click on the image at the top right of the dialog box. Select Specify Image and pick the image file. I missed this step.
AutoCAD calculates what it thinks is the 'background' of the image. I think they do it by going from the outside-in. All you need to do is put a single border line (of any color NOT similar to an adjacent color) around your image and then AutoCAD will stop the 'background' search at that line.
FYI
I make sure my bmp names are the same in my mns file. also once your sure your names are the same, do a search on your computer and delete any duplcates or icons you dont need
