Default hold text fromatting thru table update

    Hi,
We just upgraded to 2006 from 2002...Lots to learn.

I have set up a table style to use when I create schedules from attribute extraction. However, the formatting controls available in the table style dialog box are rather limited. I prefer to center justify certain columns in my schedules, but left-justifty "description" and "comments" fields, e.g.
If I do this formatting manually, (right click on the selected columns>cell alignment) then update my table, my changes are re-formatted as per the current table style. Is there any way around this? Are there ways to set up a more detailed table template with regard to styles?

Also, How do you activate the little ballon that alerts you to the need for table updates? Semms I turned it off.

Great forum, BTW. Just discovered it.

    Thanks,
    rob duprey

    Hi

    First guess, system variable TrayNotify

Someone with AutoCAD 2006 will hopefully address /answer you main question, as I do know Tables were improved on from AutoCAD 2005 ( version I have in front of me ).

    Have a good one, Mike
