Question Publish layout tabs and layout tab names to PDF

    Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the publish feature in AutoCAD. I hope that I am posting this in the correct forum.

We are trying to publish multiple layout tabs to PDF, and have the individual files created have the names of the layout tabs appended to the file name (for project archival, and retrieval).

It seems to function correctly on AutoCAD 2004, but doesn't work in AutoCAD 2005. Any ideas out there?

    Thanks in advance,

    Don

How do you have your plot stamp set up?

I don't believe that we are using the plot stamp feature. Should we be?

Then how is it working in 2004?

Using the Plot Stamp would work. You could also use fields with a link to the layout name. I think that is available in 2005.

OK thanks! I'll pass it on. In case you can't tell, I am asking this for one of my co-workers. I myself don't use the publish feature, however I would like to use it for DWFs. maybe someday...

    Thanks!

It's pretty good. I don't use it regularly, but I'm starting to use it more.

Are you using this in conjunction with the sheet set manager?

    Hi Don

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD Sheet Set Manager forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

So am I to gather from reading the previous thread, that Autodesk broke this feature intentionally? Something to do with them wanting to support DWF rather than PDF?
