    Default Is it possible to change the layer color of an Xref file?

    Is it possible to change the layer color of an x-ref'd file? I have a facility layout/background that was drawn in blue and would like to show as grey in a different file without modifying the original....

    Hi

    Assuming Bylayer was used in the original drawing file...

    * Xref in the original drawing file.
    * Open Layer Properties Manager.
    * Select the Xref Layers -> Change colour to suit.

    Also look up VisRetain ( within the AutoCAD Online Help File "F1" and via a forum search ).

    Have a good one, Mike

    Hi

    Plus, try plugging the following into the forum search facility...

    Key Word(s): *Xref* + Color
