Default Wipeout does not wipeout on one particular device

i'm having a odd problem with wipeout. basicly a user has a image in the drawing. placed a wipeout over it but when he plots it the image shows. but on another machine it works fine.
if i use a pc3 or the windows system printers.
both macines running acad2004 sp2, windows XP pro sp2. they were installed using the same network image, they use the same hdi driver, pc3, pmp and pen files, all network based. the plotter is a oce 600 it fails if sent to a hp printer also.
    anyone have any ideas?

    Hi

Try plugging in the following search criteria into the forum search facility...

    Key Word(s): Wipeout + *Line* + Merge

    Have a good one, Mike

thanks for the reply mike, but the plotters are set for lines overwrite. but i had not tried the 3dface idea. personally i don't believe in using wipeouts the text will fit, or we got creative with the images .-sean

    Hi

As far as I know ( which means nothing ), for Wipeout Objects to be honoured on output, the plotting device has to be set to "Lines Overwrite".

    Have a good one, Mike

i'm done fighting it, i used the clipit routine and faked it to remove the part i wanted. i still have no idea why it works on some machines (or partly) and not others.i've seached the web, the swamp and autodesk. no luck.
and mike, your input and knowlege is invaluable to us all.
    cheers!

I don't know what causes the different effect on different plotters, but I was getting the "transparent Wipeout" effect on my drawings, and discovered that the layer that my Wipeouts were on was set as NoPlot !!!! I changed that and now they work! Good luck working with AutoCAD.

Are you using the same .ctb for plotting to both machines? Might be a pen setting thing
