It seems that the only way you can use the flip arrow feature is to have your right-hand click set to "Shortcut Menu" in Edit Mode.
Does anyone know an alternative because I like my right hand click to always repeat last command.
Thanks

You can set your right-click to time sensitive. That way when you hit the right mouse button, it's repeat last command, and if you hold it, it becomes context sensitive. You get the best of both worlds. This setting can be changed under OPTIONS>USER PREFERENCES>right-click customization.
You can also make a button with the following:
^C^C_aidimfliparrow
This will allow you to pick a dimension, and AutoCAD will flip the nearest arrow.

Why draw straws? Just draw one straw and array it.

I tried the "OPTIONS>USER PREFERENCES>right-click customization" thing, and when I hold down the right mouse button (with the dimension selected), a small rectangle appears like it's treating the dimension like an object - very strange. Because I used to have the time sensitive thing going in 2005 and I did enjoy that best of both worlds, now it's just acting weird.Originally Posted by scott.wilcox
Anyway, I found a happy medium with having the Repeat last command for the Default mode and the Command Mode and having the menu come up for the Edit mode (that's when the flip arrow option is available).
But thanks again Dude - Thats twice in one day!!
You can also have time sensitive right-click, and your flip arrow to work when your right-click settings are as shown (see attachment).Originally Posted by todd.mackay
