    Default Command line view missing!

There I was blazing away at a drawing due in moments and to my surprise my command lines stopped being written as I typed in commands. Somehow somewhere, I must have changed the settings but I could find no thread of evidence to that effect. Does anybody know why I can't see my command lines anymore? the space and the cursor is still there bu there are no words, no numbers, nothing. Black on black. The letters are supposed to be white but they are not there.

This might not be the best forum for this question so don't be offended if a Moderator moves it.

Try this to fix your problem. Type "Options"; go to the "Display" tab; in the "Windows elements" section select "Colors"; there is a scroll bar called "Window Element" scroll down to "Command Line Text"

That is the setting you're looking for. Change the color there. I hope that helps!

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the New Forum Users Forum to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Below snippet is from the small print on the Forum General page -

Are you in ACAD 2006? Is there any chance that you turned on dynamic entry? (The DYN button on the status bar).
If dynamic entry is on you would not see the commands being typed in (they would be next to your crosshairs) but you should still see all the options of the current command...

Are you talking about the dynamic input line (2006) or the actual command line toolbar?

I do remember in one previous version, if you scrolled up the command line it wouldn't return to the bottom even if you kept working. You'd have to go back to the bottom manually. (At least I think it was AutoCAD.)
