Symbolizing Points with Blocks

Greetings...I'm just getting my feet wet with Civil 3D, so bear with me. I would like to insert a Point File (ASCII - PNEZD) and have the points symbolize using AutoCAD blocks (defined in my template file) that match the description in the point file. I have no problem assigning a single block for ALL points but would like to classify these points (descriptions) using our existing blocks.

We have hundreds of blocks/description codes...Any ideas that would point me in the right direction?

Go to settings tab in your Toolspace, expand Point, go to your description key set and create new.

If you have used desckey manager in LDD, then this will look familiar to you. Also is similar to setting up field codes in field to finish (if you are familiar with carlson)
