Default Basment Egress Window "Cant Make Type"

I originally placed an egress window from Revit City and placed it
onto my 12" wide conc fdtn wall and everything was fine. I furred
out the wall prior to this insertion and found that I had to do something
to see thru the window to the outside.

I remembered that with 2 walls to attempt the wall join tool to get
both walls to act as one. Revit would not let me join the walls. I then
did vertical and horizontal splits on the wall to remove the part that
was in the way. That worked but I had another egress window and
felt hey I have a number of awning windows to place and I thought I
was going about it the wrong way.

I then revised the basement foundation wall type to include the furred
wall (3 1/2 stud and 1/2 drywall). When done I had problems with
the already placed egress window. And I could not place any more
instances of it. I get an error message that "cant make type"

The basement awning windows I downloaded from Revit library worked
excellently and still do. Egress windows dont. Help.

You need to edit the window and in the editor create the same walltype to see what the conflict is and make the correction in the family.

Thanks that helped somewhat but the wall will not allow
a thickness greater than 12". My foundation wall is 12"
    plus 4" (furred out portion).

It will allow 12" but when I try to make it 16" I get error
    messages.

You might be asking yourself, why 12" foundation wall.
For those of whom might be asking, Why, I am designing a
Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie Style house. I need 10" fdtn
wall for masonry construction and I want a base shoe
around the building to establish another horizontal plane.

Most FLW homes have a 2 or more inch fdtn shoe projection from
    masonry or stucco.

The error message I get is "Base Sketch for extrusion is invalid"
when I try to make the wall anything greater than 12"

You'll probably need to post the file you're working with to have someone figure out the problem.

Thanks Ski, here is the file I have played with from
Revit City. You can see that the wall width has
changed and I increased the window size and modified
the ladder, height of the window well and distance above
    grade for that well.

But I'm stuck and open for suggestions with my 14"
    total wall width (12" conc and 4" (3 1/2" stud + 1/2"
    drywall wall)

Try this, it will now stretch with the wall thickness and I hooked up the projection parameter.

Mike it looked great, you were able to modify the wall thickness
that I could not but Revit won't let me load it into my house that
I am working on. I get the error message

Cant Make Type (and the name of the window you just
    sent me that was modified).

What could be the problem. Is there another escape well
out there that is flexible in sizing that will work with a
larger than normal foundation wall thickness?
