I have DISPSILH set to 1 and ISOLINES set to 0. The object is a sphere with a radius of 28'-5". In 2D Wireframe mode the outline of the sphere appears perfectly round. But in 3D Wireframe mode the edge appears jagged. I'm using AutoCAD in conjuction with another program that requires AutoCAD to use the 3D Wireframe mode. To be able to line up the sphere with graphics supplied by the other program I need the edge of the sphere to be round/smooth.
Any help you can provide will be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi
Ok! second guess, look at stuff like...
FaceTres
ViewRes
WhipArc ( From personal experience, could possibly cause problems ).
If still no joy, can you please post an example drawing file so we may take a look at the issue / problem first-hand.
Have a good one, Mike
I set the following:
FACETRES - 10
VIEWRES - 20000
WHIPARC - 1
Results were the same as before.
I did notice that the first time 3D Wireframe was displayed, the jaggedness was not as severe as subsequent times. In other words, once I went to 2D Wireframe mode and then back to 3D Wireframe mode, the jaggedness was more noticeable. However the jaggedness stayed the same from then on, no matter how many times I swithced back and forth.
A file is attached for your review as you requested. It is a half-sphere set to the front view.
Thanks for your consideration of this situation!
Probably by changing to an other 3D software, sorry.Originally Posted by gwlittle
You can try scale object by 0.001, and move object closer to WCS 0,0,0.
: ) Happy Computing.
