    Default topography

trying to create a plot plan and need to create topo that slopes in 2 directions from the house. dont have a survey with topo available so creating the topo from scratch. accuracy isnt really important going more for looks so the elevations look correct. what is the easiest way to do this. i have created a topo surface that is flat as the lowest point of the grade but now i need to add contours for the stuff that slopes up. any ideas?

Select the topo surface you created and EDIT. You can place additonal points at any desired elevation or location.Select each point and change the elevation of that point. Look on the options bar for the elevation.
To display the contour lines at tighter intervals go to Site Settings.

Can be a good idea to add extra points in plan and then edit the topo levels in a 3d view so you can see it move up/down as you adjust the point levels. If you know what the slope should look like in elevation it can work well to cut the footprint of the building out of the topo which then gives you points at each of the relevant corners of the plan to manipluate the levels of.

    hope this helps...

    Hi all!
I remember that somewhere I've read about how to use isolines in Revit. Here it is:
    1. The question is: How to use isolines to create my site?
    2. In blank project You should draw isolines, each on different elevation (I recommend to use Lines-Tangent arc tool to make those lines).
    3. When You finished making isolines, export them from 3D view in DWG file.
    4. Import that DWG file into your project on the right place in Your site.
    5. Go to Site Design panel and start making Toposurface.
    6. Choose Use imported>Import instance tool and select DWG instance (which You just imported in project).
    7. Finish Toposurface.
    8. Select DWG instance of isolines and delete it.
    9. Voila! Now You have toposurface.
I agree, it is not an easiest way to create topo, but...
