After reading some more about it. The current 32bit versions of XP will not run on the new apple hardware. The apple hardware will use EFI instead of a bios which the current XP doesn't support. The 64bit version of XP does but the apple hardware is not 64bit. Then new Windows Vista will support EFI and it should be able to be installed on apple hardware.

Hmmmm, this is very interesting.
I wouldn't mind buying an apple pc.
Would be much better than taking an upgraded computer chip stuffed
into the same old tower box.
They couldn't do this fast enough. I think the other computer manufacturers
should be force to create more inovative computers to keep up with apple.
I'm looking at this carefully because I want to get an apple laptop. But now I could use a laptop that can run AutoCAD. If I can buy one laptop and have dual boot OSX and Windows that would be the best of both worlds in one laptop.

Might Users Be Able to Run XP on Mactels, After All?
APC Magazine wonders aloud if Apple watchers might have been too hasty in declaring Windows XP unable to run on the new Mactels. This is one of those times when it would be helpful if Microsoft and Apple would forego their usual caginess and just give customers a real answer. Will folks be able to run XP and Vista on Mactels, and how?
I'll have to put the G5 Intel with cinimatic diaply on my witsh list at work....

Windows XP on Intel Mac Confirmed
"According to winxponmac.com, the contest has been won - nearly $14k to narf2006 for submitting a working solution to dual-booting Windows XP and Mac OS X on an Intel-Powered mac. A thread on osx86project.org has confirmations from several testers that the procedure works on the 17" iMac, the Mac mini, and the MacBook Pro. Many sets of pictures and videos (such as this installation video) are floating around (and mentioned in the thread). The solution itself should be posted soon." Poit! Congratulations to narf.
Funny quote about this:
"Great! The cost of an Apple with the security and stability of Windows!"
Wake me up when you can run Windows programs within a Sandbox within OS X.
Apple decided to make things simple it seemes.
