    Default Rough Maxwell rendering

Test of RC5. Very nice, dielectrics clearing far more quickly.

5 minutes setup, physical sky and basic materials. Will do some camera matching, trees next.

    2400x1200 in 6.5hrs on an AMD 4400X2.

great stuff... wish i had the cash to pick that up when it was cheap! Im surprised at the speed for that size of image. Question is, will it stay that fast once you put more complex materials and trees...

Nice. I have just downloaded the latest version too. I can't figure out how to export from sketchup to maxwell though. There is no new plugin and when I try it as I did with the beta version, I get a message saying its an old version of the mxs file. I guess it's changed as I now understand you can apply the materials etc directly in maxwell. Anyone give me a pointer?

    thanks.

    Max.

Max, the new plugins are included with the RC installation. You'll find them in Next Limit>Maxwell>plugins folder. Installation is the same as was with beta version. You can still apply materials via the new plugin, but to take full advantage if the new material system, you'll need to use Studio.
