updating level names and unloading links

We have come accross some strange behavior with worksets in 6.1:

The first thing is that we have levels which won't update in one of the files. I changed the name of a level in my user file and saved to central, etc. When he reloads, however, it remains the old name. I have saved to central and reloaded worksets several times from both computers. I have also checked to make sure we are using the same central file (we are). The level shows up correctly in my file and the central file, but incorrectly in his. When he tries to change it in his, however, it tells him that the name (the one we want, that I changed it to) is already in use, please use a unique name. Any ideas?

Secondly, this same project has a main file with two other files linked into it (it's an exterior renovation of the space between two other buildings). Whenever I reload worksets, my links dissapear. This is not a terribly big deal as I can go into my link manager and simply reload and everything is fine, but it is annoying. Anyone know what causes this?

Try having the user save to central, then save local. After exiting, then delete the local file and check out a new local file. See this thread.
