Default Reloading Express Tools menu in AutoCAD 2006

My install of AutoCAD 2006 had been working fine, but when I opened it at home tonight, it was not finding the proper utilities when I clicked on a button on the Expresstools toolbar. I went to the menuload dialog, unloaded the expresstools, and now I can't find where the expresstools menu resides so that I can reload it. I searched my C drive for files that contain *expr*.mn*, but they must have changed the type of file the menus are stored in. I know the whole .cui file is a new concept, but I have been a converted dyed-in-the-wool Revit user lately, so my AutoCAD customization knowledge is a couple of versions out-of-date.

Any help here would be GREATLY appreciated, as I would rather not have to reinstall AutoCAD 2006 all over again.

I found it at: C:\Documents and Settings\<Login Name>\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2006\R16.2\enu\Support\acetmain.mnl. Hopefully, that will do me for now.

Thanks for posting back where you found that. I'm sure someone will find the info useful.

Actually, you can usually restore the Express menu by typing in the EXPRESSMENU command. Also, the acetmain.mnl file is the LISP associated with the actual menu file acetmain.cui. You need to select the latter if you are using MENULOAD or CUILOAD to restore the Express menu manually.

I couldn't remember which of tie acetmain.* files I used to reload it when I fixed it, so thanks for the clarification. It's good to know the different file extensions, since I was used to *.mns and *.mnc back when I did customization in version 2000i. I also will remember now that "acetmain" means AutoCad Express Tools main.

    Thanks again for the clarifications.
