Having problems loading xrefs in Acad 2006 but not 2005. Certain xrefs brought into 2006 software end uo in space but when the same xref is attached in 2005 it is in the correct location.
Any thoughts or solutions on this?
Thanks,
Derek

quick question... end up in model space? paper space? outer space?Originally Posted by dlash
my first thought is to check and make sure that your INSUNITS are matching in each of these drawings.

Hi Derek
Please note I have *split* your post from thread "Xref loading problem - Xrefs suddenly lose their path", and created a brand new thread ( this thread ) that deals with your particular problem / issue ( seeing as it is a completely different type of issue / problem ).
Plus, please note I have *moved* this new thread from the ACAD LT General forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
Thanks, Mike

Here are a few thoughts:
1. Check to see if the scale is correct on the xref. I've had problems in 2006 with xrefs scaling either 12X or 1/12 their actual size. You can set INSUNITS to 0 to fix this.
2. Check the BASE of the xref-ed drawing to make sure it is at 0,0. Although I don't think this is the problem since it works in 2005 I've received drawings where the base was moved from 0,0 and had trouble getting them to insert in the correct location.
Just my 2c.
