Does anybody know if there is a way for editing requests to appear on a user's screen when another user makes the request? Similar to the XRef update pop up from ADT. We have a problem in our office of people putting in an editing request, and the other user not seeing it for a while. Sometimes it stays on the request menu for hours before anyone knows it's there. I've told everyone that this isn't a Revit issue as much as it's an office communication issue. To me, there's no excuse for one user to NOT tell someone else they have an editing request, but my coworker's simply don't want to hear it.
It seems Revit has the capacity to inform one user when there is an editing request, so does anyone know if future releases of Revit will have this function? I presume that Revit 9 is the next release, but I have no idea when that edition is coming out. Does anybody know when the next one comes out? Perhaps this editing request thing is already on the wishlist, if not I'll put it on there.
