Cool 2006 LDT Symbol Manager importing existing symbol sets

Has anyone imported existing symbol sets into Land Development Desktop with out reinstalling each symbol individually? With over 300 symbols I do not want to recreate my current sets. I am bringing them from LDT 2002 into LDT 2006.

Have you tried copying the CDX and DBF files (along with the dwgs themselves) into the 06 folders? Save a copy of the original in a separate folder prior to copying the old ones though. Then you should be able to do a Mass import and 06 should "Read" the folder and info.

Yes I did import the CDX and DBF files from my original Symbol Manager setup. I imported my symbol set into the directory which LDT as setup as "C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataAutodeskAutodesk Land Desktop 2006R16.2DataSymbol Manager". I can't find find any reason it isn't being seen.

Try importing it into Symbol Manager now that the files are there. It may need to be recompiled to this release. In the Advanced Tab, Import Symbols. Make sure that the Catalog is correct before you import them tho.
