    Default a room tag that will show "room length x room width"

    is it possible to make a room tag that will show "room length x room width"?
    any suggestion will be appreciated.

    No - absolutely not. Perhaps Revit 9?

    If I remember correctly there was a thread about this few years back where the factory explained that will be difficult because not all rooms are rectangular what will happen if you have irregular shape room what will be the rules in getting the length and width of the room.

    just do what ADT does and report the length and width of the bounding box... it ain't perfect but it ain't bad either...

    You can always add a parameter to the Room Tag that would let you manually add the Room Length and Width for each room but this can not be done automatically. You might consider controling the visibility for this parameter so that you can turn off for other plans types. I currently use one room tag that displays differently preliminary pricing plans, DD's and CD's all buy controlling the visibility. Nice thing about it, you do not need to re-type the name of the room
