Closing AutoCAD with project opens causes fatal error

Hi
My project is plugin with autocad i.e i placed an icon on the tool bar and click on that icon my project wll be loaded on to the autocad.
The problem is if i am closing autocad with project open then autocad is giving fatal error
Is there any possible way to disable the functionality of close and Alt+F4 of autocad
I am using visual basic 6.0 for my project
