    Question Are you Union?

A user brought up unionization's affect on his pay, and I was wondering how many others of us are in unions and what type of people are you grouped with.
There was a unionization attempt here at the hospital a couple of years ago, and had it passed, I would likely have been part of the union with the skilled tradespeople maintaining our building (~ 200 guys made up of hvac-r, elect, plumbers & a couple of stationary engineers in the power plant)

so... is your union wage that much better than non-union? what are your dues? are you allowed to strike? have you needed to strike? do you feel a benefit or no from belonging? are there certain jobs/tasks you're allowed/not allowed to do?
