Default Clipping boundaries are linked to Clipped Objects

For some reason all of the xclip boundaries for xrefs and blocks are showing up in one drawing I'm working on. As an example, if I clip a block using the rectangle option it adds the rectangle to the block. Selecting the rectangle highlights the block, so if I try to erase the boundary, I also erase the block. It goes away if I explode the block. Other drawings are behaving normally. What have I done?

    Hi

Please post the drawing file that demonstrates this behaviour so we may take a look at the issue / problem first-hand ( so-to-speak ).

    Have a good one, Mike

It's the xelev file. note the white boundary around the floor plan on the right. This is a boundary that is in a nested xref. Open the xref file and the boundary is not there. Also, if you clip a block in xelev file, it will show the clip.

    Hi

    Open drawing file "X1C".

    Then perform the following...

    Code:
    Command: _.XClip [ Enter ]

Select objects: _All [ Enter ]
    1 found
    26 were ineligible for clipping.

    Select objects: [ Enter ]

    Enter clipping option
    [ON/OFF/Clipdepth/Delete/generate Polyline/New boundary] <New>: _P [ Enter ]

    Command:
Your mysterious XClip Boundary is now visible.

    Have a good one, Mike
