When I drag one of my vertical profile labels, such as a grade break label, the dragged label is leadered to the design point and the label is positioned horizontally.
Is there a way to rotate the label to be vertical like all the other labels?

Jeff, go to your label style, find the Dragged State tab, and switch the Dragged State Components Layout mode from Stacked Text, to As Composed thus the labels will not revert to stacked when dragged. Although if I was in drag mode I would want to be stacked
Thanks Marie,
That worked but it looks a little funny with the leader at the end of the vertical line. It wouldn't be so bad if the leader didn't have the tail but I couldn't figure out a way to get rid of it.
Jeff,
Have you checked your Leader settings and made sure the 'tail' is turned off?
That's a good idea Mark but I can't find the setting to turn off the tail. Do you know what it is?
Jeff,
One more note is that unlike many other labels in Civil 3D you cannot right click on the Vertical profile labels to "Reset Label" a bit of a work around to this is to select the label grip and move it back to it's original point and it tends to reset the label.
Good luck!
